Les formations du réseau SALTO sont financées par le programme jeunesse de mobilité de l’Union Européenne Erasmus+ et de la Suisse Movetia . Les frais de transport, d’hébergement et d’alimentation sont pris en charge. Seule une participation de CHF 80.- est généralement exigée de la part des participant-e-s. La Suisse n’est pas membre du programme Erasmus+ depuis la votation de février 2014 contre l’immigration de masse. Mais les personnes résidant en Suisse peuvent tout de même prendre part à ces formations grâce à un programme transitoire mis en place par la Confédération et géré par Movetia.

L’objectif de ce séminaire est d’encourager le réseautage entre les organisations et les animateurs/trices jeunesse en Europe, tout en recherchant des partenaires pour organiser des rencontres internationales de jeunes. Les rencontres de jeunes sont l’occasion de développer ses propres compétences (personnelles et interculturelles) et de découvrir de nouvelles perspectives.

PBA Make the Move VI

A contact making seminar co-organized by NA BEFR and PT, in order to promote partnerships and develop quality Youth Exchanges, with a strong focus on Inclusion.


Over the past years, many youth exchange projects have been developed and run between organisations from different countries, born in the previous editions of this PBA. An exciting and challenging intercultural encounter! In order to strengthen the partnerships and especially the quality of these projects, this partnership building activity aims to provide the needed support and training elements for the participants who intend to organise such a youth exchange in the near future. Besides creating the opportunity for participants to create strong partnerships, we also wish to offer a real intercultural experience, as an inspirational example for future youth exchange implementations. This “MAKE THE MOVE VI” will therefore take place for the 5th time in the very centre of Portugal. We will try to create a strong interaction with the local community, which adds a dimension of deep intercultural experience for the participants.

This PBA “MAKE THE MOVE VI”, will focus on the following aspects

  • Young people as actors in the different steps of a youth exchange, supported and coached by youth workers.
  • The local community as the integral supporting structure of a youth exchange
  • The impact and permanent mark on a local community as a result of a youth exchange.
  • The above features will not only be discussed and analysed, but will also be based upon real practical experience during the Partnership Building Activity.

Aims & Objectives

  • To create an opportunity to find good and reliable partners to make youth exchanges with, with a focus on inclusion projects
  • To understand what is needed to plan a youth exchange of good quality
  • To create a solid network of contacts and partnerships
  • To equip the youth workers with insight in their role as coach and support
  • To experience the possibilities of local involvement
  • To understand the impact and social change a youth exchange can have within the local community

Target group

The partner building activity is open for voluntary and professional youth workers, working directly with young people, able to make decision in the name of their structure/group and plan to organise a youth exchange within the frame of the Erasmus+ – Youth in Action Programme. Max 50 participants from Geographical Europe (Programme countries + Western Balkans + Eastern Europe and Caucasus and Russian Federation). Priority will be given to participants from organisations or groups working on social inclusion of young people. Participants should be at least 18 years old. Be aware that this Partner Building Activity will be in English. The team can give extra language support in French, Portuguese, and Dutch when necessary.

Participants are expected to be part of the full duration of the Partnership Building Activity. All board and lodging is foreseen from Tuesday 28th of April dinner time, till after breakfast on Sunday 3rd of May 2020.

Participation fee

This project is financed by the participating NAs of the Erasmus+ Youth in Action Programme. The participation fee varies from country to country. Please contact your National Agency or SALTO Resource Centre to learn more about the participation fee for participants from your country. Participants from Eastern Europe and Caucasus or Russian, and from Western Balkan countries will be covered by organizers.

Accommodation and food

Unless specified otherwise, the hosting National Agency or SALTO Resource Centre of this offer will organise the accommodation and covers the costs for accommodation and food.

Travel reimbursement

Please contact your National Agency (NA) or SALTO Resource Centre (SALTO) in order to know whether they would support your travel costs. If yes, after being selected, get in touch with your NA or SALTO again to learn more about the overall procedure to arrange the booking of your travel tickets and the reimbursement of your travel expenses.
